Asha Kiran Special Needs School was born in 1993 with a commitment to serve special children. Children with different needs such as hearing impaired, learning disabled, physically & mentally disabled and autism, etc are helped here. We also help the economically poor children in their studies. The school is accredited to National Institute of Open Schooling [NIOS], Govt. of India.

QUIZABLED 2021

Our students participated in the 7th Edition of Quizabled, an inter-school general knowledge quiz competition organized by Seva-in-Action exclusively for specially-abled children from the age group of 13 to 21 years.  Due to the pandemic, Quizabled has been conducting the non-competitive quiz online for the past two years.

Republic Day Celebration

Republic Day was celebrated virtually. The program began with a slideshow explaining the meaning of Republic Day and the reason why we celebrate it. There was poetry, song, dance, craft, and a few students dressed up as leaders who were prominent members for framing the Constitution of India.

The program ended with students and staff singing the National Anthem followed by “Jai Hind!”.

Students Project Work

Students across the different departments were given Projects based on the subjects and topics taught. The objectives were –

  • To give opportunity to integrate knowledge and skills.
  • To apply the concepts learned in day to day life.
  • To develop organizing, cognitive and fine motor skills.
  • To encourage creative and critical thinking.
